-
What services does Levaro Allied Health provide?Levaro offers a range of allied health services, including Occupational Therapy, Neurological Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Pressure Mapping and Building Works Project Management. Our team supports adults living with physical and neurological disabilities.
-
How do I make a referral to Levaro? To make a referral, you can submit your details via our online referral forms or contact us directly at (02) 4001 0525. We accept referrals for clients with conditions within our scope of practice.
-
What funding options does Levaro accept?Levaro Allied Health works with a variety of funding sources, including NDIS, iCare, DVA, My Aged Care, and private health. If you're unsure about your funding options, our team is happy to guide you.
-
Do you offer home visits or only clinic-based appointments? We provide flexible options, including community-based home visits and appointments at our advanced rehabilitation centre in Bennetts Green, depending on your needs.
-
How long does an initial assessment take?An initial assessment typically takes between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the complexity of your needs. This time allows our clinicians to fully understand your goals and develop a personalised care plan.
-
What is the cancellation policy?Cancellation fees may apply if sufficient notice is not provided. To avoid charges, please cancel appointments two business days prior to your scheduled appointment. Cancellations made after this or on the day of the appointment may incur a fee of up to 100%. Individual circumstances will be taken into account when applying fees.
-
What happens if my support worker isn’t available to bring me to an appointment? Our clinicians can attend home visits if you are unable to attend the clinic. If you are needing to request this service, providing Levaro with as much notice as possible will maximise the therapist’s ability to change your appointment to a home visit. It is important to note, that requesting a last-minute change is not always possible due to the added travel time. You can speak to your therapist directly to discuss individual circumstances.
-
I don’t know if I need to see a Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist? We generally recommend you see one of our Physiotherapists for an initial assessment to determine what service will be the best option for you. Physiotherapists have the skills and knowledge to diagnose, manage and treat a diverse range of acute and chronic health conditions and movement disorders. They use a range of evidence-based interventions to facilitate movement, reduce pain and work toward your physical capacity goals. Exercise Physiologists prescribe exercise to improve the physical function and overall health. Exercise Physiologists focus on how the body responds and adapts to different physical exercises. They provide support on how to maintain an active lifestyle and make sure that exercise programs are safe, effective, and appropriate for the person.
-
Can I choose which therapist I want to see?A short answer is yes, however, this may mean you have a longer waiting period. We always recommend having a discussion with our team to work out who is the best therapist to provide your support.
-
How long will I wait for an appointment? We generally have capacity to see new clients within 1-2 weeks.
-
If I don't get on with my therapist, may change to another one?Yes. Our therapists don’t bite and ultimately, they became therapists because they love helping people, so please don’t hesitate to discuss any issues you have directly with your therapist. Alternately you can also reach out to our clinical manager Jayne, who can chat through what is happening and work together for a positive outcome.
-
I am self-managed, why do I have to sign a service agreement?A service agreement provides both you and us with some goal posts to work within. It also articulates our fees and conditions that you are personally accepting and are confirming you have the available funds to pay for services.
-
How often will I be invoiced? For private clients, payment is due at the time of appointment in our clinic. For other agencies, like NDIS, we email invoices every day. Given the nature of how supports are provided under the NDIS, there is often a lot of time spent liaising on your behalf, and writing reports, all of which we bill for in 6-minute increments.
-
What happens if I'm sick and can't attend?Nobody wants this or plans for it. Similar to our answer for the cancellation policy, if you are beginning to feel unwell, it is best to give us notice that you can't attend as early as possible, if however, you get sick and are unable to provide more than 24 hours’ notice, you may incur cancellation fee.
-
Am I charged for travel?Yes, we charge for both labour (time) and non-labour related costs (distance, tolls, parking, etc).
-
Where will I be seen for an appointment? We provide appointments in our clinic at 2/17 Templar Place Bennetts Green, at your home or in your community. We always recommend in-clinic appointments where suitable as it saves you travel costs, but it all depends on your individual needs.
-
Are all appointments one on one? Are there options for group activity? We provide one-on-one appointments as well as offering some group sessions. Sometimes even multiple therapists may see one client at the same time.
-
Can you help me get onto the NDIS?Our team can provide initial assessments and subsequent recommendations that you or your representative can then submit as part of your application to the NDIS for Access. It is best to contact us and discuss your individual requirements and we can then provide a quotation for the provision of this support.
